Arleen LaBella Education Fund
Arleen joined the BBW board in early 2011. She was motivated to join after learning of the efforts being made by its two co-founders to encourage and support the children at Phan Thiet Children's Center. This included staying in school, working hard to get good grades, and dreaming beyond the very limited future they had come to accept.
Arleen took BBW to a significantly higher level of accomplishment through her creativity, drive, and untiring fundraising work. Although she was never able to visit the children in Vietnam, they captured her heart. Their dreams became her dreams. She became absorbed in their individual stories, challenges and aspirations -- and committed herself to their accomplishment.
BBW is forever grateful for Arleen's dedication and deep commitment to our mission: "A chance for a child -- a win for the world." We think that there is no greater way to honor her memory and keep that promise alive than through the Arleen LaBella Education Fund. The spirit of both will live on.

Arleen was one of the most beautiful, generous, thoughtful and kindest human being I have ever met. The world is a sadder place without her. I certainly am. My love to Dennis and the family.
This donation is in memory of Arleen Labella who will be sorely missed from this world. Our paths crossed while working on a business deal a few years ago and she was an inspiration to many people including myself. Rest in peace Arleen - we love you.
Although my connection to Arleen and Dennis is brief ,it was clear to me that Arleen was a woman of gentleness, warmth, kindness, concern for others and intellectual curiosity.
